Our baby girl turned 3 !!!!! She had a wonderful day. She wore a "Birthday Princess" ribbon all day. Here she is . . . .
One fun tradition we have started since we moved into our new house is letting the kids take baths in "mom's" bathtub on their birthdays. The kids love it! It's more like swimming. :) I let them run the jets and watch movies and everything. Here is the birthday girl enjoying her birthday bath. She was in the tub for about 1 1/2 hours.
While she was in the tub. She kept raising her legs out of the water and then quickly dunking them under the water. She would hold them underwater for a minute and then raise them back up. She was splashing everywhere. So, I said "Please don't splash." And, she responded, "But, Mom, I'm not turning into a mermaid!"
The only thing she wanted to do for her birthday was go and play with her cousin Ivy. (Thank you, Tora!) So, we went and spent the afternoon with Ivy. Then, we came home for a pizza dinner, presents, and cake and ice cream.
She loved her cake! Are you seeing the theme? She wanted a "Princess" birthday. :)
She got some very nice birthday cards. Here she is opening one from Grandpa and Grandma with a little something something. (Yes. We are going out for ice cream.)
Here are some of her presents. She also got some really cute jewelry from our wonderful neighbors. Her other Grandpa and Grandma gave her a darling dress and some really cutes hats and gloves.
Mom and Dad gave her these dolls. (She got a dollhouse for Christmas.) She quickly disappeared and played with them for the rest of the evening. I think she had a wonderful day.
