Out of the Mouths of Babes . . .

As many of you know, our No. 2 is preparing for baptism. So, we have been having several family lessons on what that means and what is going to happen. Here is one of those conversations:

Me: "How old do you have to be to get baptized?"

Additions: "Eight."

Me: "That's right. And, how do you get baptized?"

Addition No. 2: "You go under the water."

Me: "That's right. Did you know that some people believe that you need to baptize a baby?"

Good-looking: "Sometimes, people will take a little baby and hold the baby over a bowl of water and take a cup and pour a little bit of water on the baby's forehead. How come we don't do it that way?"

Addition No. 3: "Because babies can't swim!"
